vrRouteId

Module: NETSCREEN-VR-MIB

OID (symbolic): NETSCREEN-VR-MIB::vrRouteId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.18.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Router id, used by OSFP and BGP.

What is vrRouteId?

This object holds the router ID used by dynamic routing protocols, specifically OSPF and BGP, running within this virtual router. Admins set or check this to ensure the VR presents a stable, unique router identity to its OSPF and BGP peers, since a router ID conflict can cause routing adjacency problems. For example, vrRouteId returning 10.0.0.1 would identify that as the router ID this VR advertises to its OSPF and BGP neighbors.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.18.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NETSCREEN-VR-MIB::vrRouteId

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3224.18.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NETSCREEN-VR-MIB::vrRouteId.1
