agentSflowSourceInterface

Module: NETGEAR-SFLOW-MIB

OID (symbolic): NETGEAR-SFLOW-MIB::agentSflowSourceInterface

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.59.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InterfaceIndexOrZero

Access: read-write

Description: A source-interface selection on an Interface Index (like vlan based routing interface, port based routing interface, loopback interface, tunnel interface). A non-zero value indicates ifIndex for the corresponding interface entry in the ifTable is selected. A zero value indicates source-interface is un-configured.

What is agentSflowSourceInterface?

This object selects which interface's address the NETGEAR switch uses as the source when sending sFlow monitoring data, referencing that interface's ifIndex; a value of zero means no source interface has been configured. An admin sets this so sFlow collector software can reliably identify which switch sent the flow samples, rather than seeing an arbitrary or changing source address. Pointing it at a dedicated management VLAN interface's ifIndex ensures all sFlow exports appear to come from that consistent management address.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.59.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NETGEAR-SFLOW-MIB::agentSflowSourceInterface

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.59.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NETGEAR-SFLOW-MIB::agentSflowSourceInterface.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.59.1.1.1 s <value>
