Description: Enable or disable Energy Detect Mode. If Energy detect Mode is not supported on a particular port then not-applicable is displayed. When user tries to set not-applicable(2) then it returns failure.
What is agentGreenEnergyDetectMode?
This read-write integer enables, disables, or reports not-applicable for Energy Detect Mode on a switch port, a feature that powers down the port's PHY when no link partner is present. An admin toggles it to save power on ports that sit idle, and the device reports not-applicable on ports where the hardware doesn't support the feature, refusing any attempt to explicitly set that value. For example, setting agentGreenEnergyDetectMode to enable(1) on an unused patch-panel port lets the switch cut power there until a cable is plugged in.
