What is netcorPartitionStat?

Based on its name, this object reports whether a specific twisted-pair or AUI port on the device has been auto-partitioned, electrically isolated from the shared segment, due to excessive collisions or errors. Admins check this classic Ethernet-hub diagnostic to identify a misbehaving port that the hub has automatically cut off from the rest of the network to protect segment integrity. An admin troubleshooting a device that suddenly lost connectivity might read netcorPartitionStat for its port and find it shows partitioned, explaining the outage.
