Description: Indicates whether Half Duplex (hdx) or Full Duplex (fdx) modem signals are being generated. Full Duplex indicates communication is occuring in both directions simultaneously between devices. Half Duplex indicates transmission is occuring in both directions, but only in one direction at a time. newvalHdx - same functionality as 'hdx', new enumeration added for RFC1155 compatibility.
What is cdx6500NCRBSCCfgContention?
This read-only enumeration (hdx, fdx, newvalHdx) tells an admin whether the port is generating half-duplex or full-duplex modem signals, i.e. whether both directions can transmit simultaneously (full) or must take turns (half), affecting expected throughput.
