This read-only integer reports the last known signal strength, in millidecibels (mdBm), measured at a specific point in the spectrum scan. Admins use this raw spectrum power reading to assess overall signal levels across the optical spectrum, separate from the per-channel power readings. For example, a spectrum scan showing unusually low power readings across a wide frequency range could indicate a fiber cut or connector issue upstream of the OSA.
