nbsExpPortTftpSwFileName

Module: NBASE-EXP-MIB

OID (symbolic): NBASE-EXP-MIB::nbsExpPortTftpSwFileName

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.16.1.2.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: The Software File Name for the Expansion Port. This is the remote file name string provided to the TFTP client application when starting a Firmware Update process. This value is stored in the system NVRAM as well as in the SNMP Agent current configuration.

What is nbsExpPortTftpSwFileName?

This object holds the remote filename that will be requested from a TFTP server when a firmware update is initiated for this expansion port, and the value is persisted both in NVRAM and the agent's running configuration. An admin sets it to the specific image filename, such as expmod_v3.bin, before triggering nbsExpPortInitDownload to start the update. Because it's stored in NVRAM, the filename survives a reboot even if the download hasn't yet been triggered.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.16.1.2.1.9
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NBASE-EXP-MIB::nbsExpPortTftpSwFileName

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.16.1.2.1.9.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NBASE-EXP-MIB::nbsExpPortTftpSwFileName.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.16.1.2.1.9.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> nbsExpPortTftpSwFileName.1
