natUdpDefIdleTimeout

Module: NAT-MIB

OID (symbolic): NAT-MIB::natUdpDefIdleTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.123.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The default UDP idle timeout parameter.

If the agent is capable of storing non-volatile configuration, then the value of this object must be restored after a reinitialization of the management system. Deprecated in favor of NATV2-MIB.

What is natUdpDefIdleTimeout?

Default idle timeout, in seconds, for UDP-based NAT bindings, defaulting to 300 (5 minutes) if not overridden per interface. Since UDP has no connection teardown signal, this is the main knob an admin has for balancing how long a translation stays reserved versus freeing it up for reuse; deprecated in favor of NATV2-MIB.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.123.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NAT-MIB::natUdpDefIdleTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.123.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NAT-MIB::natUdpDefIdleTimeout.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.123.1.1.2.1 i <value>
