natAddrMapDiscards

Module: NAT-MIB

OID (symbolic): NAT-MIB::natAddrMapDiscards

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.123.1.4.1.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: The number of packets pertaining to this address map entry that were dropped due to lack of addresses in the address pool identified by this address map. The value of this object must always be zero in case of a static address map.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at reinitialization of the management system and at other times, as indicated by the value of ifCounterDiscontinuityTime on the relevant interface. Deprecated in favor of NATV2-MIB.

What is natAddrMapDiscards?

A 64-bit counter of packets dropped under this map entry because the associated NAT address pool ran out of addresses; always stays at zero for a static (one-to-one) map, so a rising count here on a dynamic pool means it's undersized. Deprecated in favor of NATV2-MIB.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.123.1.4.1.18
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NAT-MIB::natAddrMapDiscards

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.123.1.4.1.18.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NAT-MIB::natAddrMapDiscards.1
