mpTrapClass

Module: MPSLA

OID (symbolic): MPSLA::mpTrapClass

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5651.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The class of the Traps.

What is mpTrapClass?

This read-only value reports the syslog-style severity class of an MPSLA trap, using the standard eight-level scale from emergencies(1) down to debugging(8). An admin can use it to prioritize incoming traps in an NMS, treating emergencies/alerts/critical as urgent and debugging/informational as background noise. Note the MIB source still carries an older three-level enum (critical/major/minor) left behind in a comment, but the enum that actually compiles is the eight-level syslog scale.

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5651.2.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MPSLA::mpTrapClass.1
