cnMpoaIpVerificationTableType
Module: MPOA-EXT-MIB
OID (symbolic): MPOA-EXT-MIB::cnMpoaIpVerificationTableType
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.930.3.7.3.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object controls the type of verification table that is being used. This object is used in combination with the status and download object and the IP verification table. Any change made to this object must be downloaded to the switch cards using the cnMpoaIpVerificationTableDownload object before the settings actually take effect.
To enable a verification table, the table type must be set to exclusion or inclusion, enabled using the table status object and then downloaded to the cards using the download object.
To delete the IP verification information, you must set the table status object to clear and then downloaded to the cards using the download object. When the information is deleted, the table type is read as unknown.
To change the table type between exclusion and inclusion, you must first delete the IP verification information and then recreate it.
What is cnMpoaIpVerificationTableType?
This value sets whether the IP verification table operates as exclusion or inclusion filtering, and must be downloaded via cnMpoaIpVerificationTableDownload before taking effect; changing between exclusion and inclusion requires first deleting and recreating the verification information, and it reads as unknown when the table has been cleared. Admins choose inclusion to permit only listed IP ranges for MPOA shortcuts, or exclusion to block only listed ranges while allowing everything else. Setting it to inclusion and downloading the table would restrict MPOA shortcut establishment to only the IP ranges explicitly listed.
