Module: MPIOS-MIB

OID (symbolic): MPIOS-MIB::numBlocksAlloc

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5651.3.20.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

What is numBlocksAlloc?

This reports the number of distinct memory blocks currently allocated across all tasks and system services on this device. A rising block count without a matching rise in numBytesAlloc's growth rate can point an admin toward many small allocations, sometimes symptomatic of a leak that allocates frequently but never frees.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5651.3.20.1.1.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MPIOS-MIB::numBlocksAlloc

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5651.3.20.1.1.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MPIOS-MIB::numBlocksAlloc.1
