fethPortUpper32TransmittedOctets

Module: MODULES-MIB

OID (symbolic): MODULES-MIB::fethPortUpper32TransmittedOctets

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.81.12.6.1.1.1.32

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description: This object is the number of octets contained in valid frames that have been transmitted on this port. This counter is incremented by OctetCount for each frame transmitted on this port which has not been encountered with a collision event. This statistic provides an indicator of the total data transferred. Note that this counter and fethPortLower32TransmittedOctets forms a 64 bits counter. It is provided for those network management protocols that do not support 64 bit counters (e.g. SNMP V1) and the repeater type is 100Mbs.

What is fethPortUpper32TransmittedOctets?

Holds the upper 32 bits of a 64-bit count of octets transmitted on this port without a collision event, paired with fethPortLower32TransmittedOctets for SNMPv1 management stations that can't handle native 64-bit counters; combining both halves gives the true total transmitted byte count on this fast port.
