mip6HCInOctets

Module: MOBILEIPV6-MIB

OID (symbolic): MOBILEIPV6-MIB::mip6HCInOctets

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.133.1.1.3.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: The total number of octets in the MIPv6 datagrams received by the MIPv6 entity. This will include datagrams with the Mobility Header, the Home Address option in the Destination Option extension header (Next Header value = 60), or the type 2 Routing Header. It will also include the IPv6 datagrams that are reverse tunneled to a home agent from a mobile node's home address. This object is a 64-bit version of mip6InOctets. Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of mip6CounterDiscontinuityTime.

What is mip6HCInOctets?

64-bit ("high capacity") version of mip6InOctets, for counting the same received Mobile IPv6 octets on links fast enough that the 32-bit counter would wrap too quickly to poll reliably.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.133.1.1.3.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MOBILEIPV6-MIB::mip6HCInOctets

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.133.1.1.3.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MOBILEIPV6-MIB::mip6HCInOctets.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> mip6HCInOctets.1
