mip6BindingAdminStatus

Module: MOBILEIPV6-MIB

OID (symbolic): MOBILEIPV6-MIB::mip6BindingAdminStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.133.1.1.2.1.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This is an administrative object used to control the status of a binding cache entry. By default the value will be 'active'(1). A value of 'inactive'(2) will indicate that the validity of the entry is suspended. It does not exist in the binding cache for all practical purposes. The state can be changed from 'active' to 'inactive' by operator intervention. Causing the state to change to 'inactive' results in the entry being deleted from the cache. Attempts to change the status from 'inactive' to 'active' will be rejected.

What is mip6BindingAdminStatus?

Admin control to suspend a Binding Cache entry: active(1) is the default, while setting inactive(2) deletes the entry from the cache immediately; note that once set to inactive, an attempt to set it back to active is rejected, so the mobile node must re-register instead.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MOBILEIPV6-MIB::mip6BindingAdminStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.133.1.1.2.1.1.12.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MOBILEIPV6-MIB::mip6BindingAdminStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.133.1.1.2.1.1.12.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> mip6BindingAdminStatus.1
