Module: MIB-INTEL-RIP
OID (symbolic): MIB-INTEL-RIP::ripIpRouteMetric
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.39.1.1.9
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: The RIP routing metric for this route.
What is ripIpRouteMetric?
Reports the RIP routing metric, typically a hop count, for this route. Admins use it to see how many hops away the destination network is according to RIP, and to understand RIP's own best-path selection among candidate routes. A metric of 16 in classic RIP would indicate the destination is considered unreachable, since RIP treats 16 as infinity.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.39.1.1.9 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MIB-INTEL-RIP::ripIpRouteMetric
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.39.1.1.9.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MIB-INTEL-RIP::ripIpRouteMetric.1
