Description: Setting this variable with the value 'start' triggers the save of the running configuration to the startup configuration, so that changes will persist across reboots. All changes made via SETs for SNMP tables are applied to the running configuration only. You should set this variable at the end of every group of updates if you want your configuration to persist.

What is mwlGlobalSave?

This is a command trigger object: writing the value 'start' saves the controller's current running configuration to its startup configuration so changes persist across a reboot, since any SNMP SET made elsewhere in this MIB suite only affects the running configuration until this save is performed. An admin should trigger this at the end of a batch of SNMP configuration changes, or those changes will be lost the next time the device restarts. For example, after making several SNMP SET changes to WLAN settings, writing 'start' to mwlGlobalSave commits those changes into the startup configuration so they survive a subsequent reboot.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.15983.3.1.2.1.16
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MERU-WLAN-MIB::mwlGlobalSave

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.15983.3.1.2.1.16.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MERU-WLAN-MIB::mwlGlobalSave.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.15983.3.1.2.1.16.1 s <value>
