ltnetIpDns

Module: LTNET-COMMONINFO-MIB

OID (symbolic): LTNET-COMMONINFO-MIB::ltnetIpDns

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.33826.3.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description:

What is ltnetIpDns?

This read-write, optional NetworkAddress sets the DNS server address used by the network element, since the source MIB provides no descriptive text beyond the object name and type. Admins set this so the element can resolve hostnames, for example when reaching an NTP or syslog server by name. For illustration, an admin might set this to 8.8.8.8 as the element's DNS resolver.
