Module: LMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): LMP-MIB::lmpCcSetupRole

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.227.1.10.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: The role that this node should take during establishment of this control channel. An active node will initiate establishment. A passive node will wait for the remote node to initiate. A pair of nodes that both take the passive role will never establish communications.

What is lmpCcSetupRole?

Whether this node takes the active role (initiates control channel establishment) or the passive role (waits for the peer to initiate) for this control channel; the default is active. Two nodes both configured passive toward each other will never establish a channel, so admins check this first when a control channel refuses to come up.
