lldpXdot1ConfigProtoVlanTxEnable
Module: LLDP-EXT-DOT1-MIB
OID (symbolic): LLDP-EXT-DOT1-MIB::lldpXdot1ConfigProtoVlanTxEnable
OID (numeric): 1.0.8802.1.1.2.1.5.32962.1.1.3.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: The boolean value that indicates whether the corresponding Local System Port and Protocol VLAN instance will be transmitted on the port defined by the given lldpXdot1LocProtoVlanEntry.
The value of this object must be restored from non-volatile storage after a re-initialization of the management system.
What is lldpXdot1ConfigProtoVlanTxEnable?
This read-write boolean, false by default, controls whether the local system's Port and Protocol VLAN (PPVID) instance is transmitted via LLDP on the associated port, persisting across a management system reinitialization. Admins enable this to let neighboring switches learn which protocol VLANs are active on a port, useful when protocol-based VLAN classification is in use. Setting it to true(1) would cause LLDP frames from that port to advertise its configured PPVID.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.0.8802.1.1.2.1.5.32962.1.1.3.1.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> LLDP-EXT-DOT1-MIB::lldpXdot1ConfigProtoVlanTxEnable
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.0.8802.1.1.2.1.5.32962.1.1.3.1.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> LLDP-EXT-DOT1-MIB::lldpXdot1ConfigProtoVlanTxEnable.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.0.8802.1.1.2.1.5.32962.1.1.3.1.1.1 s <value>
