lpOptMACBridgeFunctions

Module: LANPLEX-OPT-FDDI-MIB-1-2-2

OID (symbolic): LANPLEX-OPT-FDDI-MIB-1-2-2::lpOptMACBridgeFunctions

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.114.1.10.2.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Indicates the MAC's optional bridging functions.

The Value -1 is used to indicate that bridging is not supported by this MAC.

The value is a sum. This value initially takes the value zero, then for each function present, 2 raised to a power is added to the sum. The powers are according to the following table:

Function Power tb 0 -- Transparent bridging active sr 1 -- Src routing active srt 2 -- Src routing transparent active

What is lpOptMACBridgeFunctions?

Bitmask reporting which optional bridging modes this MAC supports -- transparent bridging, source-routing, and source-routing-transparent -- or -1 if the MAC doesn't support bridging at all; an admin reads this to confirm a port can do the bridging mode their topology requires.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.114.1.10.2.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> LANPLEX-OPT-FDDI-MIB-1-2-2::lpOptMACBridgeFunctions

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.114.1.10.2.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> LANPLEX-OPT-FDDI-MIB-1-2-2::lpOptMACBridgeFunctions.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> lpOptMACBridgeFunctions.1
