lpBridgePortAddressRemoteAddress

Module: LANPLEX-MIB-1-2-9

OID (symbolic): LANPLEX-MIB-1-2-9::lpBridgePortAddressRemoteAddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.114.1.1.21.5.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: The remote MAC address detected on the port corresponding to this entry. Setting this object attempts to create a new entry in the table. Since the value of lpBridgePortAddressIndex is determined automatically internal to the bridge, a set is only successful if the index value specified for lpBridgePortAddressIndex is zero. A get-next using the values of lpBridgePortAddressBridgeIndex and lpBridgePortAddressPortIndex can be used to determine the address index assigned to the newly added address entry.

What is lpBridgePortAddressRemoteAddress?

The 6-byte remote MAC address for this bridge address-table entry. Writing a new value attempts to create a static entry; because the address index is assigned internally by the bridge, the set only succeeds if lpBridgePortAddressIndex is specified as zero, after which a get-next reveals the index the bridge actually assigned.
