lagAggregateOrIndividual
Module: LAG-ARCH-MIB
OID (symbolic): LAG-ARCH-MIB::lagAggregateOrIndividual
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.13464.1556.1.2.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The state of this Link Aggregator port. Indicating whether the Aggregation Port is able to Aggregate ('TRUE') or is only able to operate as an Individual link ('FALSE').
What is lagAggregateOrIndividual?
This setting reports or controls whether a specific port that's part of a link aggregation group is actually capable of participating in aggregation ('true') or can currently only function as a standalone individual link ('false'). A network engineer checks this when troubleshooting a port that isn't joining its expected LAG bundle, since a port stuck showing individual rather than aggregate status won't be included in the trunk's traffic distribution. For example, a port that fails LACP negotiation with its partner switch due to a configuration mismatch might show this value as false, explaining why that link isn't carrying its share of the aggregated traffic.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13464.1556.1.2.1.3 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> LAG-ARCH-MIB::lagAggregateOrIndividual
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13464.1556.1.2.1.3.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> LAG-ARCH-MIB::lagAggregateOrIndividual.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13464.1556.1.2.1.3.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> lagAggregateOrIndividual.1
