What is trapEnable?

Whether keepalived is configured to send SNMP traps for VRRP and check events (enabled) or not (disabled). Admins enable this so their monitoring system gets pushed notifications of state changes instead of relying purely on polling.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9586.100.5.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> KEEPALIVED-MIB::trapEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9586.100.5.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> KEEPALIVED-MIB::trapEnable.1
