juniTsmApplicationMaxInterfaces

Module: Juniper-TSM-MIB

OID (symbolic): Juniper-TSM-MIB::juniTsmApplicationMaxInterfaces

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.72.1.1.4.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: Maximum number of interfaces available on the port for the application. Applications allocate interfaces from a common pool, so this is not the only limit of application level interfaces. This value could be greater than juniTsmPortProvisionedInterfaces when the port is draining interfaces.

What is juniTsmApplicationMaxInterfaces?

This read-only value reports the maximum number of interfaces available on a specific port for a specific application, noting that applications draw from a shared interface pool so this isn't the only limiting factor, and the value can exceed the port's provisioned interface count while the port is in the process of draining interfaces. An admin uses this to understand the current interface budget available to one application on one port, factoring in that shared-pool dynamics can make the effective limit lower in practice. For example, seeing this value temporarily higher than the port's provisioned-interfaces object would indicate that port is mid-drain, reconciling down to the provisioned count over time.
