Description: The minimum time in seconds for this instance of the Job Set that an entry SHALL remain in the jmJobIDTable and jmJobTable after processing has completed, i.e., the minimum time in seconds starting when the job enters the completed, canceled, or aborted state.

Configuring this object is implementation-dependent.

This value SHALL be equal to or greater than the value of jmGeneralAttributePersistence. This value SHOULD be at least 60 which gives a monitoring or accounting application one minute in which to poll for job data.

What is jmGeneralJobPersistence?

This read-only value, in seconds and defaulting to 60, reports the minimum time a completed, canceled, or aborted job's entry remains visible in the job tables before the device may remove it. An admin uses it to know how much time a monitoring or accounting application has to poll for a finished job's final data before it disappears. For example, a persistence value of 60 means an accounting script must poll within a minute of a job finishing to reliably capture its final statistics.
