Module: JUNIPER-IFOPTICS-MIB
OID (symbolic): JUNIPER-IFOPTICS-MIB::jnxPMCurTxLaserBiasCurrent
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.71.1.2.1.1.35
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-only
Description: Trasmit LaserBiasCurrent measured at Transceiver port
What is jnxPMCurTxLaserBiasCurrent?
The transmit laser's bias current measured at the transceiver port over the current interval, in units of 0.1 mA. Admins track laser bias current as a key indicator of laser aging, since bias current typically rises as a laser diode approaches end of life even before output power visibly drops.
