jnxMirroringRatio

Module: JUNIPER-ANALYZER-MIB

OID (symbolic): JUNIPER-ANALYZER-MIB::jnxMirroringRatio

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.40.1.1.1.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: This object will specify the mirroring ratio. User can configure the analyzer to mirror only one out of X packets [1:X packets] in the ingress/egress side based on whether the port is configured for ingress or egress mirroring. The configuration supports a range from 1: X [0 <= X <= 2047].Default value is 1.

What is jnxMirroringRatio?

This read-only Unsigned32 object reports the configured mirroring ratio for an analyzer session, meaning 1 out of every X packets is mirrored, with X ranging from 0 to 2047 and a default of 1. It lets an admin see how aggressively ingress or egress traffic on a monitored port is being sampled to the analyzer destination, rather than mirroring every single packet. For example, a value of 10 means only 1 in 10 packets on the monitored port is copied to the analyzer port, reducing load on the destination.
