dataEncodingSD

Module: IbmFaultMgmt-MIB

OID (symbolic): IbmFaultMgmt-MIB::dataEncodingSD

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.5.1.7.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: A code indicating how the accompanying correlation data is encoded, and thus how it is to be decoded and displayed.

What is dataEncodingSD?

A read-only code telling the trap receiver how to decode the accompanying dataSD value: hex, binary (displayed as its decimal equivalent), or ascii. This is essential for a management console to render the correlation data correctly instead of showing garbled bytes.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.5.1.7.2.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IbmFaultMgmt-MIB::dataEncodingSD

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.5.1.7.2.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IbmFaultMgmt-MIB::dataEncodingSD.1
