Module: ITOUCH-BRIDGE-MIB
OID (symbolic): ITOUCH-BRIDGE-MIB::bridgeTopologyState
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.19.1.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: Indicates whether the Spanning Tree Protocol's topology is stable or changing.
What is bridgeTopologyState?
This object reports whether the Spanning Tree Protocol's topology is currently stable(1) or changing(2). An admin watches this to detect ongoing topology instability, such as a flapping link causing repeated STP recalculations. For example, a value stuck at changing(2) for an extended period would indicate an unresolved network stability problem worth investigating.
