bridgeState

Module: ITOUCH-BRIDGE-MIB

OID (symbolic): ITOUCH-BRIDGE-MIB::bridgeState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.19.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Controls whether the bridge will perform bridging.

What is bridgeState?

This object controls whether the iTouch bridge performs Ethernet bridging at all, choosing between disabled(1) and enabled(2), defaulting to enabled. An admin would disable this only to fully stop the device from forwarding frames as a bridge, effectively taking it out of the data path. For example, an admin troubleshooting a suspected bridging loop might temporarily set this to disabled(1) to isolate the device.
