Module: ITOUCH-BRIDGE-MIB
OID (symbolic): ITOUCH-BRIDGE-MIB::bridgeEarlyLoopCount
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.19.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter
Access: read-only
Description: The number of times that an early loop was detected while the early loop state was enabled.
What is bridgeEarlyLoopCount?
This counter tracks the number of times the bridge's early loop detection algorithm has fired while bridgeEarlyLoopState was enabled. An admin checks this counter to gauge how frequently early loop conditions are being detected on the network, which can indicate recurring topology or cabling issues. For example, a steadily increasing count would prompt the admin to investigate a specific link for a flapping or looped connection.
