Description: Control to cause emptying the event log. In response to a get-request or get-next-request, the agent always returns 'ready' for this value. Setting the value to 'ready' has no effect. Setting it to 'execute' causes the event log to immediately become empty. Corresponds directly to the PURGE MANAGER LOG FILE command.
What is basicEventPurge?
A write-only trigger to clear the boot server's event log immediately: setting it to 'execute' empties the log (matching the PURGE MANAGER LOG FILE command), while setting 'ready' does nothing and reads always return 'ready'. An admin would set this to execute after reviewing logged events, to start with a clean log.
