appleStatus

Module: ITOUCH-APPLETALK-MIB

OID (symbolic): ITOUCH-APPLETALK-MIB::appleStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.21.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Indicates whether the router is performing AppleTalk routing.

What is appleStatus?

This reports the router's actual current AppleTalk operating state, distinguishing a clean active(2) state from problem states like noInterface(3) (no configured interface) or badConfig(4) (a configuration error). An admin checks this after setting appleState to confirm AppleTalk routing actually came up rather than just assuming it did.
