ippmSystemClockResolution
Module: IPPM-MIB
OID (symbolic): IPPM-MIB::ippmSystemClockResolution
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.10000.4.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-only
Description: ippmSystemClockResolution provides the precision of the clock used for the measures. The unit is 1/10 of millisecond. For example, the clock on an old Unix host might advance only once every 10 msec, and thus have a resolution of only 10 msec.
What is ippmSystemClockResolution?
This is the precision of the clock used for measurements, expressed in tenths of a millisecond. Admins use it to judge how fine-grained a delay measurement can meaningfully be on this device; for example, a 10ms-resolution clock can't reliably report sub-10ms delay differences.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.10000.4.4 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IPPM-MIB::ippmSystemClockResolution
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.10000.4.4.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IPPM-MIB::ippmSystemClockResolution.1
