Description: The minimum amount of time remaining before this entry will be aged out. If ipMRouteNextHopState is pruned(1), the remaining time until the prune expires and the state reverts to forwarding(2). Otherwise, the remaining time until this entry is removed from the table. The time remaining may be copied from ipMRouteExpiryTime if the protocol in use for this entry does not specify next-hop timers. The value 0

indicates that the entry is not subject to aging.

What is ipMRouteNextHopExpiryTime?

This value reports the minimum time remaining before a next-hop entry ages out; if the entry is currently pruned, it is the time until the prune expires and forwarding resumes, otherwise it is the time until the entry is removed, with 0 meaning it is not subject to aging. An admin watches this to anticipate when a pruned branch of a multicast tree will automatically be re-evaluated for forwarding. For example, a pruned entry with an expiry time of 120 (1.2 seconds) will revert to forwarding state very soon unless re-pruned.
