Description: The number of rows in the ipMRouteTable. This can be used to monitor the multicast routing table size.
What is ipMRouteEntryCount?
This value reports the number of rows currently in the ipMRouteTable, the router's multicast forwarding table. An admin monitors it to track how large the multicast routing table has grown, which can signal an unusually high number of active (source, group) pairs. A sudden jump in this count could indicate a misbehaving multicast source or a routing loop generating many spurious entries.
