ipfixTransportSessionSourceAddress

Module: IPFIX-MIB

OID (symbolic): IPFIX-MIB::ipfixTransportSessionSourceAddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAddress

Access: read-only

Description: The source address of the Exporter of the IPFIX Transport Session. This value is interpreted according to the value of ipfixTransportSessionAddressType, as specified in RFC 4001. This object is used with protocols (specified in ipfixTransportSessionProtocol) like TCP (6) and UDP (17) that have the notion of addresses. SCTP (132) should use the ipfixTransportSessionSctpAssocId instead. If SCTP (132) or any other protocol without the notion of addresses is used, the object MUST be set to a zero-length string.

What is ipfixTransportSessionSourceAddress?

Reports the source IP address of the IPFIX Exporter for this transport session, letting an admin identify which device sent the flow records arriving at a Collector.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IPFIX-MIB::ipfixTransportSessionSourceAddress

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IPFIX-MIB::ipfixTransportSessionSourceAddress.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ipfixTransportSessionSourceAddress.1
