ipfixTransportSessionDestinationAddressType

Module: IPFIX-MIB

OID (symbolic): IPFIX-MIB::ipfixTransportSessionDestinationAddressType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAddressType

Access: read-only

Description: The type of address used for the destination address, as specified in RFC 4001. The InetAddressType supported values are ipv4(1) and ipv6(2). This object is used with protocols (specified in ipfixTransportSessionProtocol) like TCP (6) and UDP (17) that have the notion of addresses. SCTP (132) should use the ipfixTransportSessionSctpAssocId instead. If SCTP (132) or any other protocol without the notion of addresses is used, the object MUST be set to unknown(0).

What is ipfixTransportSessionDestinationAddressType?

Reports whether this IPFIX session's destination address is IPv4 or IPv6 (or unknown, for SCTP or other address-less protocols), the type field that governs how ipfixTransportSessionDestinationAddress should be interpreted.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.1.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IPFIX-MIB::ipfixTransportSessionDestinationAddressType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.1.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IPFIX-MIB::ipfixTransportSessionDestinationAddressType.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ipfixTransportSessionDestinationAddressType.1
