ipfixTemplateDefinitionFlags

Module: IPFIX-MIB

OID (symbolic): IPFIX-MIB::ipfixTemplateDefinitionFlags

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.3.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Bits

Access: read-only

Description: This bitmask indicates special attributes for the Information Element:

scope(0) This Information Element is used for scope.

flowKey(1) This Information Element is a Flow Key.

Thus, we get the following values for an Information Element:

If neither bit scope(0) nor bit flowKey(1) is set The Information Element is neither used for scoping nor as Flow Key. If only bit scope(0) is set The Information Element is used for scoping. If only bit flowKey(1) is set The Information Element is used as Flow Key.

Both bit scope(0) and flowKey(1) MUST NOT be set at the same time. This combination is not allowed.

What is ipfixTemplateDefinitionFlags?

Reports whether this Information Element in the Template is used for scoping (scope bit) or as part of the Flow Key (flowKey bit) — never both — helping an admin understand which fields identify a flow versus which ones are just its metrics.
