ipfixObservationPointPhysicalInterface

Module: IPFIX-MIB

OID (symbolic): IPFIX-MIB::ipfixObservationPointPhysicalInterface

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.6.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InterfaceIndexOrZero

Access: read-only

Description: This object contains the index of a physical interface in the Interfaces MIB. This physical interface is the given Observation Point. If such a physical interface cannot be specified or is not known, then the object is zero.

This object MAY be used alone or in addition to ipfixObservationPointPhysicalEntity. If ipfixObservationPointPhysicalEntity is not zero, this object MUST point to the same physical interface that is referenced in ipfixObservationPointPhysicalEntity. Otherwise, it may reference any interface in the Interfaces MIB.

What is ipfixObservationPointPhysicalInterface?

Reports the ifIndex of the interface that serves as this Observation Point, or zero if not known; if a physical entity is also set, this must point to the same underlying interface, giving an admin two complementary ways to identify where flow monitoring is happening.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.6.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IPFIX-MIB::ipfixObservationPointPhysicalInterface

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.193.1.1.6.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IPFIX-MIB::ipfixObservationPointPhysicalInterface.1
