Description: The total number of octets received in input IP datagrams, including those received in error. This object counts the same octets as ipIfStatsInOctets, but allows for larger values.
Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of ipIfStatsDiscontinuityTime.
What is ipIfStatsHCInOctets?
This OID holds a very large counter that tracks the total number of bytes (octets) received on a network interface, including data that arrived with errors. It tells you how much traffic has flowed into this interface since the system started or last reset. A network operator checks this when investigating bandwidth usage trends or comparing traffic on different network ports.
