cjnLrrpOperPriority

Module: IP-LRRP-MIB

OID (symbolic): IP-LRRP-MIB::cjnLrrpOperPriority

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.43.2.19.4.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description: This object specifies the priority to be used for the virtual router master election process. Higher values imply higher priority.

A priority of '0', although not settable, is sent by the master router to indicate that this router has ceased to particpate in LRRP and a backup virtual router should transition to become a new master.

A priority of 255 is used for the router that owns the associated IP address(es).

What is cjnLrrpOperPriority?

Sets this router's priority (default 100, higher wins) in the master-election process for this virtual router; a priority of 255 marks the router that actually owns the backed-up IP address(es), and a priority of 0 - never set directly by an admin - is what a master sends out when relinquishing the role so a backup takes over immediately.
