OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.2.19.1.2.10.203.4.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Indicates whether linkUp/linkDown traps should be generated for this interface.

By default, this object should have the value enabled(1) for interfaces which do not operate on 'top' of any other interface (as defined in the switchIfStackTable), and disabled(2) otherwise.

What is switchIfLinkUpDownTrapEnable?

Controls whether linkUp/linkDown traps are generated for this interface, enabled(1) or disabled(2); by default it's enabled unless the interface sits on top of another interface in a stacking relationship. An admin toggles the equivalent setting to quiet trap noise from sub-interfaces that don't need their own up/down alerts.
