switchIfAdminStatus

Module: INTELCORPORATION-MULTI-FLEX-SERVER-SWITCH-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTELCORPORATION-MULTI-FLEX-SERVER-SWITCH-MIB::switchIfAdminStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.2.19.1.2.10.203.3.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The desired state of the interface. The testing(3) state indicates that no operational packets can be passed. When a managed system initializes, all interfaces start with switchIfAdminStatus in the down(2) state. As a result of either explicit management action or per configuration information retained by the managed system, switchIfAdminStatus is then changed to either the up(1) or testing(3) states (or remains in the down(2) state).

What is switchIfAdminStatus?

The administratively desired state of the interface: up(1), down(2), or testing(3) (no traffic passed). An admin toggles the equivalent configuration to bring a switch port up or down; on this MIB the object is exposed read-only, so it reflects rather than sets that configured intent via SNMP.
