switchDot1dTpFdbPort

Module: INTELCORPORATION-MULTI-FLEX-SERVER-SWITCH-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTELCORPORATION-MULTI-FLEX-SERVER-SWITCH-MIB::switchDot1dTpFdbPort

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.2.19.1.2.10.203.6.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Either the value '0', or the port number of the port on which a frame having a source address equal to the value of the corresponding instance of switchDot1dTpFdbAddress has been seen. A value of '0' indicates that the port number has not been learned but that the bridge does have some forwarding/filtering information about this address (e.g. in the switchDot1dStaticTable). Implementors are encouraged to assign the port value to this object whenever it is learned even for addresses for which the corresponding value of switchDot1dTpFdbStatus is not learned(3).

What is switchDot1dTpFdbPort?

The port number on which a frame from switchDot1dTpFdbAddress was last seen, or 0 if the port hasn't been learned even though other forwarding info exists for that address. This is exactly the value an admin reads to answer 'which switch port is this MAC on?'
