Module: INTELCORPORATION-MULTI-FLEX-SERVER-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTELCORPORATION-MULTI-FLEX-SERVER-MIB::chassisNominalPower

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.2.19.1.2.10.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Power

Access: read-only

Description: Static Nominal power generation / consumption (in watts):

<0 - Negative numbers indicate device consumes power (in watts) >0 - Positive numbers indicate device generates power (in watts) 0 - Device is passive (does not not consume or generate power) -1 - Nominal power generation/consumption not known or specified

What is chassisNominalPower?

This object reports the chassis's static nominal, or typical, power rating in watts, using the same sign convention as chassisMaximumPower, where negative values mean the chassis consumes power. An admin uses this more realistic, typical-load figure for everyday capacity planning, reserving chassisMaximumPower for worst-case budgeting. For example, a nominal value of -450 alongside a maximum of -750 tells the admin the chassis normally draws about 450 watts but could spike to 750 under peak load.
