Module: INADS-MIB
OID (symbolic): INADS-MIB::inadssnmpAlarmAck
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6889.2.70.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: DisplayString
Access: read-write
Description: A response from Avaya's management application inadssnmpAlarmMessage sender describing whether the manager received the alarm and recognises it as valid. This string will contain: so 2 if the inadssnmpAlarmMessage is valid, or so 3 if the inadssnmpAlarmMessage is invalid
What is inadssnmpAlarmAck?
This object is written by the receiving management application to acknowledge an inadssnmpAlarmMessage, using the string 'so 2' to confirm the alarm was recognized as valid or 'so 3' to indicate it was seen as invalid. The originating device reads this value to know whether its alarm report was successfully processed by the management system, essentially a handshake confirmation. For example, the management application writing 'so 2' to inadssnmpAlarmAck tells the device its most recent alarm report was accepted as a valid, recognized alarm.
