What is dot11DTIMPeriod?

This object configures how frequently a wireless access point sends beacon frames containing a DTIM (Delivery Traffic Indication Map) element with a count of zero. The DTIM period tells sleeping clients when to wake up to check for buffered broadcast and multicast traffic, allowing operators to balance power savings with timely delivery of network announcements.
