dot11CAPLimit
Module: IEEE802dot11-MIB
OID (symbolic): IEEE802dot11-MIB::dot11CAPLimit
OID (numeric): 1.2.840.10036.2.1.1.10
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This attribute shall specify the maximum number of TUs a Controlled access phase(CAP) can last.
What is dot11CAPLimit?
This OID sets the maximum time duration (in time units) that a controlled access phase for wireless medium access can last. Lowering this value forces more frequent channel access resets. You'd adjust this to balance fairness between wireless devices versus throughput efficiency.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.2.840.10036.2.1.1.10 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IEEE802dot11-MIB::dot11CAPLimit
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.2.840.10036.2.1.1.10.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IEEE802dot11-MIB::dot11CAPLimit.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.2.840.10036.2.1.1.10.1 i <value>
